Elevation - Stephen King

Over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed films and series based on the writings of Stephen King, however I have always had people warn me away from the books saying as a writer he pads the novels out by going into too much detail. When I saw this book of a mere 140 pages it seemed a good opportunity to sample the writers work in a bite-size form. Our protagonist in this story,  Scott Carey, Visits a doctor as he is constantly loosing weight. No matter what he's wearing or what he's carrying upon his person he weighs the same and his weight is dropping daily, despite this however his appearance stays the same. He is against getting help for fear of being treated like a test subject so goes about his day to day life living with the problem. Thinking about it I have not chosen the first book I write about very well, None of the characters in this story have much about them and border on being plain stereotypes. New Blog

So, Sometime ago I had a blog, you know back in the days everyone had a blog! Before everybody had 500 friends they could share up to the minute information on what they were doing, what they were eating and where they were going. We had Bebo but that was nowhere near the social media invasion we have nowadays. A couple of years ago I decided to jump off the conveyor belt of junk we call Facebook and Twitter, as a way to find more time to do things I enjoy, rather then mindlessly scrolling through a never ending feed of the mundane. The plan of action has worked, I now seem to have way more free and unhindered time to play more games and more importantly more time to read books. A hobby i haven't really been able to enjoy since a very young age. The only problem now is in my solitary world, I have nowhere to discuss or anyone to discuss with, the things I am getting so much joy out of.
